The present disclosure generally provides an aluminum alloy product having a microstructure selectively recrystallized on one or more surfaces of the product. The present disclosure also provides articles of manufacture made from such products, and methods of making such products, for example, through casting and rolling. The present disclosure also provides various end uses of such products, for example in vehicles, transportation, electronic devices, and industrial applications.
