Disclosed is a system for calculating a plastic stress intensity factor, which calculates a plastic stress intensity factor for a structure where mechano-luminescence (ML) paint is applied and plastic deformation occurs. The system for calculating a plastic stress intensity factor comprises: a photographing unit; an image processing unit which receives images of the structure from the photographing unit, calculates cumulative ML intensity from a preset initial time to the present, generates a cumulative ML isointensity image, and analyzes the cumulative ML isointensity image to extract pieces of information necessary to calculate the presence or absence of cracks in the structure and the plastic stress intensity factor; a storage unit for storing therein effective stress information according to the cumulative ML intensity of the structure and information on a material constant of the structure; and an operation processing unit for calculating the plastic stress intensity factor (K^P_M) of the structure by using the information provided from the image processing unit and the information stored in the storage unit.
