Disclosed are a method for improving the policy and charging control (PCC) performance in a core network with separated functions and an apparatus thereof. According to one aspect of the present embodiment, a method of a control plane node for improving the PCC performance in a core network in which functions are separated into a control plane node and a user plane node comprises: a process of adjusting an IP flow filter entry based on a predetermined condition; a process of generating at least one IP flow filter set including the adjusted IP flow filter entry; and transmitting information on the at least one generated IP flow filter set to the user plane node.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
