The present invention relates to a stand-alone household energy storage system which can recycle a waste battery of a large capacity used in an electric vehicle or the like. The stand-alone household energy storage system comprises: a master battery management system (BMS) to recognize and register a BMS of each waste battery as a slave BMS, and monitor a battery state of each waste battery through each slave BMS; a battery control unit to adjust a battery charging order in accordance with the battery state of each waste battery, sequentially charge the waste batteries one at a time in accordance with the battery charging order when charging batteries, and discharge all of the waste batteries at once when discharging batteries; an inverter to generate and provide load power based on generated power of a new renewable energy system and charging power of the waste batteries; and an energy management unit to monitor and analyze consumed power of a load and the generated power of the new renewable energy system to MPPT-control the inverter and determine and adjust an operating mode of the battery control unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
