The present invention provides a system and a method for evaluating air quality for target spaces including underground shopping malls and facilities. According to the present invention, a system capable of measuring and evaluating air quality for an environment of underground malls and facilities comprises: a plurality of measurement units installed in a plurality of control areas partitioned in a target space including underground shopping malls and facilities; an air conditioning system provided in the target space; a situation awareness database in which situation information for the control area is stored; and a control unit controlling the operation of the air conditioning system using the situation awareness database.
