According to the present invention, a washing machine includes: a cabinet which forms the exterior and of which an inlet is formed at the front; a tub which is provided in the cabinet and in which washing water is stored; a drum provided in the tub to be rotatable; and a door installed on the cabinet to open and close the inlet, wherein the door is provided with an auxiliary door which is free to be opened and closed independently from the door during a washing process, thereby additionally adding laundry during a washing course.
