Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for controlling an indoor garden space for healing and resting. The apparatus comprises: a residence sensor to detect the existence of a person in an indoor garden space; and an indoor air environment control module to perform indoor air environment control for tree management of the indoor garden space if the residence sensor detects that a person does not exist in the indoor garden space, and perform indoor air environment control for a person in the indoor garden space if the residence sensor detects that a person exists in the indoor garden space.
