The present invention relates to a primer set and a probe for detecting Salmonella Enteritidis strains, and a composition, a kit and a method for detecting Salmonella Enteritidis strains comprising the same. When carrying out a conventional PCR or a real-time PCR by using the primer set and the probe of the present invention, it has been confirmed that HokC gene is specifically targeted to show a very excellent specificity of specifically detecting Salmonella Enteritidis only and a very excellent sensitivity of detecting the same at a very low sample concentration, thereby providing an effect of serving as a positive control DNA for detecting Salmonella Enteritidis.
