The present invention relates to a biomarker for diagnosing diabetic nephropathy and a use thereof and, more particularly, to a marker composition for diagnosing diabetic nephropathy comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of microRNA-642a (miR-642a), microRNA-1246 (miR-1246), microRNA-1255b (miR-1255b), and microRNA-5010 (miR-5010), a composition and a kit for diagnosing diabetic nephropathy comprising an agent for measuring an expression level of the miRNA, and a method for diagnosing diabetic nephropathy using the marker.
