The present invention relates to a method for estimating alveolar bone density using cone beam CT and an apparatus thereof, which can estimate a bone density value more correctly and convert the bone density value in an image form to display the obtained CT image and the converted bone density image. To this end, the method for estimating alveolar bone density using cone beam CT is performed by an apparatus including a user input unit, an image acquiring unit, an image processing unit and a net display unit.
