The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a Rhodiola rosea extract having increased anti-stress activity and health functional food containing the Rhodiola rosea extract manufactured by the manufacturing method as an active component, wherein the method comprises the following steps: hot water extraction of Rhodiola rosea; and supercritical extraction of the hot water extract.
