The present invention relates to a black ginseng extract and a method for manufacturing the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a black ginseng extract in which the content of an anti-cancer component is significantly increased, to a method for manufacturing the same, and to an anti-cancer composition containing the same. The black ginseng extract can be usefully applied as an active component of a pharmaceutical composition or a food composition having anti-cancer action.
