According to an embodiment of the present invention, a molten metal sampler comprises a sampler main body with a hollow portion formed therein. The sampler main body comprises: an inlet which is provided in the sampler main body, and through which molten metal is introduced into the hollow portion; and a stopper which closes the inlet, wherein the stopper is composed of the same alloy component as the molten metal. According to the other embodiment of the present invention, a sampling method of molten metal comprises the steps of: preparing a sampler main body which includes a hollow portion formed therein, an inlet capable of introducing molten metal into the hollow portion, and a stopper closing the inlet; injecting the sampler main body to a desired depth in the molten metal; and melting the stopper in the molten metal such that the molten metal flows into the hollow portion inside the sampler main body through the inlet, wherein the stopper is composed of the same alloy component as the molten metal.
