The present disclosure relates to a method and device for segmenting semilunar cartilage in consideration of a brightness value and shape information based on multiple atlases, and then improving a result of division of semilunar cartilage through patch-based contour feature classification. Therefore, the method for automatically segmenting semilunar cartilage according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: initially segmenting bone and articular cartilage using a target image and an atlas similar to the target image; determining a volume of interest (VOI) of semilunar cartilage using positions of the segmented bone and the semilunar cartilage; setting a semilunar cartilage segmented area in the VOI through regional weighted voting based on multiple atlases; and improving a segmentation result by extracting contour features for the semilunar cartilage segmented area.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
