According to an embodiment, an image sensor comprises: at least one pixel including first to fourth sub-pixels which are covered by a color filter, and including a first micro lens covering the first sub-pixel, a second micro lens covering the second sub-pixel, and a third micro lens covering the third sub-pixel and the fourth sub-pixel; and a control circuit electrically connected with the at least one pixel. The control circuit can be set to obtain light for an external object by using the at least one pixel; generate depth data related to the external object by using data obtained from the third sub-pixel and the fourth sub-pixel through the third micro lens; generate pixel data on the at least one pixel by processing the data obtained from the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, the third sub-pixel, and the fourth sub-pixel with regard to the light; and transmit the pixel data and the depth data to an external processor. In addition, various embodiments identified through the specification are possible. According to the present invention, it is possible to generate image data with resolution corresponding to the total number of light receiving elements (sub pixel).
