Radio resource management configuration for user equipment with wake-up signal receivers

Methods, systems and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), can receive a configuration of wake-up signal periodicity and perform discontinuous monitoring on a plurality of wake-up signals based at least in part on the wake-up signal periodicity. In some cases, the UE may perform RRM measurement according to radio resource management (RMM) measurement periodicity corresponding to wake-up signal periodicity. In these cases, the UE can monitor for paging messages to receive updates to paging information or system information during one or more wake-up signal opportunities corresponding to RRM measurement periodicity. For example, paging information can be received while the UE is performing RRM measurements, and the paging message can be monitored based on wake-up signal periodicity.
