The present proposal relates to a method of assisting a first mobile station (PL) to predict the channel quality of a planned distributed wireless communication to a communication partner station (PV1). The present proposal includes the step of transmitting a report on the channel quality measured by the second mobile station 10 from the second mobile station 10 to the first mobile station PL. This report contains at least one information entry for the channel quality measured by the second mobile station 10 at the location for communication to or from the third mobile station 10' indicated in the report. In this way, the first mobile station PL can benefit from the historical channel quality measurements of the second vehicle 10. Accordingly, the accuracy of channel quality prediction can be increased.
