The present invention relates to a chondroitin-based carbon quantum dot and a method for producing the same, and the chondroitin-based carbon quantum dot according to the present invention is environmentally friendly, and a large amount of carbon quantum dots can be produced with a single reaction. In addition, since it can display a variety of colors according to a change in an excitation wavelength, it can be usefully used in developing an imaging probe having various fluorescent colors.
