Disclosed is an implant placement design apparatus and method for designing an optimized abutment and prosthesis restoration type. An implant placement design method according to an embodiment includes the steps of recommending an abutment using the location information of the crown and the fixture and the gum margin information when the locations of the crown and fixtures that are virtually placed in the image data are determined, and recommendations are made. And analyzing the relationship with the crown based on the abutment finally selected through the process and recommending a restoration type for the prosthesis.
