The present invention relates to an insulating material using calcium carbonate (caco3) and polystyrene (ps) of an oyster shell, and more particularly, a fine particle obtained by firing and pulverizing an oyster shell is substituted for the existing calcium carbonate, and the waste polystyrene resin is 3 mm or less. It is pulverized and mixed with oyster shell powder, added flame retardant and adhesive auxiliary material, and made a flame retardant layer of polystyrene through compression and pressure molding to produce an eco-friendly flame retardant insulating material excellent in heat resistance.
