The present invention relates to a wire rope having a non-slip function and to a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, the wire rope having a non-slip function comprises: a first coating layer (200) formed on the wire rope (100); a second coating layer (300) formed on the first coating layer (200); and a third coating layer (400) formed on the second coating layer (300). Accordingly, the present invention can manufacture a wire rope having a non-slip function, which is capable of strengthening a surface of a wire rope by coating a surface of a metal wire rope used in various sites such as a home, a construction site, a camping site, etc., and improving characteristics of the wire rope such as corrosion resistance, chemical resistance and the like by forming a physically and chemically stable film.
