The present invention provides an excavation hammer for a core barrel work, capable of excavating rock and cutting a core by shifting a rotation direction. Also, the core cutting unit is improved as a wedge pressurization type. So, the excavation hammer for a core barrel work can reduce a breakdown and improve cutting efficiency. The excavation hammer for a core barrel work, capable of excavating the rock and cutting the core by shifting the rotation direction, can be used in an excavation work for a large diameter (800 mm or greater). In other words, according to the present invention, the excavation hammer for a core barrel work includes: a rotation gear box of a pile drilling machine, connected in the upper part; a core forming space formed at the center of an installation unit in the lower part so that the cross-section is formed in the shape of a doughnut; the multiple air hammers excavating the ground and formed in the installation unit; and the rotation rod connected to the rotation body including the multiple core cutting units cutting a lower end of the core formed in the core forming space. The air hammer and the core cutting unit have a swivel supplying the air to an upper end of the rotation rod to be operated by compressed air. When the rotation rod operates at the lower end of the rotation rod in a normal direction, the air is supplied to the air hammer.
