The present invention relates to a chimeric antigen receptor, and immune cells expressing the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a chimeric antigen receptor, and immune cells, preferably T cells, which express the same. The chimeric antigen receptor comprises: an anti-mesothelin antibody or a fragment thereof; a signal peptide of CD8α; a hinge of CD28 or CD8α; a transmembrane domain of CD28 or CD8α; and an intracellular signaling domain including intracellular signal region sequences of CD28, 4-1BB, and CD3ζ. According to the present invention, a chimeric antigen receptor, and T cells expressing the same which are immune cells are configured to exhibit excellent anticancer activities, and thus, can be effectively used in treating cancer.
