Apparatus and method for confirming communication condition between boiler and room-controller

The present invention relates to an apparatus for checking a status of communication between a boiler and a room controller and a method thereof. The method comprises the steps of: determining whether data transmitted by a transmission unit of a boiler are received by a reception unit while a room controller is connected to the boiler for communication if there is a problem in a one-way communication between the boiler and the room controller installed in each room; allowing the transmission unit to transmit data to the reception unit of the boiler and, at the same time, give feedback to the reception unit; and determining there is a problem in a device for checking a communication status if the feedback data are not normal, or determining, if the feedback data are normal, a case in which the data transmitted by the transmission unit of the boiler are not received by the reception unit and a case in which the transmission unit does not respond to the data transmitted to the reception unit of the boiler as boiler transmission abnormality and boiler reception abnormality, respectively. According to the present invention, when a problem occurs in a one-way communication between a boiler and a room controller installed in each of rooms, it is easily determined whether a problem lies in transmission or reception of a boiler or in a room controller for each room. Therefore, when manufacturers of a boiler and a room controller for each room are different, a user does not need to inconveniently request customer satisfaction (C/S) service both to a boiler manufacturer and a room controller manufacturer. In particular, in a request of and a response to the C/S service, for all of a boiler user, a boiler manufacturer and a room controller manufacturer, a problem where physical and time wasting can additionally occur can be solved.
