VERTICAL TYPE ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY TOMOGRAPHY DEVICE AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREOF

Disclosed are a vertical type electrical resistivity tomography device installed to check stratigraphic distribution in an unsaturated zone (alluvial/bedrock) section at a deeper depth under the ground and to survey harmful materials behaving in the unsaturated zone or materials existing under the ground, and an installation method thereof. The vertical type electrical resistivity tomography device comprises: a plurality of external pipes vertically disposed in the unsaturated zone under the ground and including a plurality of screens formed corresponding to different depths to be serially connected; a multi-channel cable disposed inside the external pipes and composed of a plurality of channel wires; and a plurality of variable electrodes each of which is connected to one among the channel wires, protrudes externally from the external pipe through the screen and hidden into the external pipe through the screen according to the withdrawal of the multi-channel cable.
