The present invention relates to a pot support using mechanism design to resist horizontal force. The pot support comprises: an upper plate provided with a groove on a side thereof and installed on a lower portion of an object to be supported; a lower plate provided with an insertion groove indented downwards on the upper surface thereof and a female screw hole on a side thereof to correspond to the groove, and fixed on an upper portion of an object to be installed; a cushion pad accommodated in the insertion groove of the lower plate; a piston partially inserted into the insertion groove of the lower plate to be arranged on an upper portion of the cushion pad to allow displacement in a moving direction of the upper plate; an eccentric rotation arm arranged on a side of the lower plate to be eccentrically rotated; and a gripper interposed between the side of the lower plate and the eccentric rotation arm to be vertically moved. The gripper is linked to an eccentric rotation of the eccentric rotation arm by horizontal displacement of the upper plate to come in surface contact with the lower surface of the upper plate to resist horizontal force.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
