Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an energy storage system capable of preventing the risk of fire, and a technical task to be solved of the present invention is to provide an energy storage system capable of reducing the risk of fire by separating a battery chamber and a power control system PCS with using a partition wall. To this end, the energy storage system comprises: a battery chamber which has a plurality of batteries installed on one side thereof; a PCS chamber which has a power conversion system (PCS) for controlling charging and discharging of the batteries installed on the other side thereof; a partition wall which separates the battery chamber and the PCS chamber; and a container in which the battery chamber, the PCS chamber and the partition wall are installed.
