The present invention relates to an Internet of things (IoT)-based method for controlling a fine dust measurement device comprising: a decoration unit (10); an air quality sensor module (20); an air cleaning module (30); and a power and communication module (40). The IoT method simply and accurately detects fine dust and collects the detected fine dust to make an indoor environment clean and pleasant by the fine dust measurement device and is controlled on the basis of IoT. The fine dust measurement device has the decoration unit, thereby having a beautiful exterior, has a detection module and the cleaning module easy to separate and couple in a modular manner, thereby being easy to store and install, simply and accurately detects fine dust, collects the detected fine dust, thereby making the indoor environment clean and pleasant, is controlled on the basis of IoT, thereby securing accurate fine dust data, is safe to use, and is convenient.
