The present invention is an organopolysiloxane compound, which has at least one of the following formula (1) units as a partial structure, and is either linear or pulverized. Accordingly, there is provided a novel ethynyl group-containing polyorganosiloxane compound, and a method for preparing a straight chain organopolysiloxane compound containing a molecular chain sock end ethynyl group which can easily adjust the degree of polymerization and is excellent in productivity.
