Disclosed are a method for calculating a road risk index based on behavior information of a vehicle and an apparatus thereof. The method for calculating a road risk index comprises the steps of: collecting vehicle behavior information from a vehicle, wherein the vehicle behavior information includes at least one of vehicle DTG data and vehicle ADAS data; using at least one of the vehicle DTG data and the vehicle ADAS data to device vehicle driving safety and vehicle following safety, respectively; and using the vehicle driving safety and the vehicle following safety to derive a road risk index.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
