According to various embodiments, provided are an augmented reality display having an improved FOV and a waveguide device and a diffractive optical structure thereof. The augmented reality display includes a light source configured to generate light associated with an image and a waveguide device outputting at least a portion of the light. The diffractive optical structure includes: a first polarizing structure disposed on a first surface of a waveguide, transmitting the first polarization of external light to the outside of the waveguide, and reflecting second polarization of light guided inside the waveguide device to the inside of the waveguide; and a second polarizing structure disposed on a second surface of the waveguide and outputting at least a portion of the second polarization to the outside of the waveguide.
