The present invention relates to a public address system for independently monitoring a speaker line in real time, which is improved by monitoring and analyzing a current and a voltage transmitted to a speaker line from a power amplifier in real time and by automatically cutting off only an abnormal speaker line. According to the present invention, a public address system for independently monitoring a speaker line in real time includes a speaker line checker, the speaker line checker includes: a relay switch configured to receive an audio signal amplified by the power amplifier; a pilot-tone signal output unit connected to the relay switch only when the speaker line is shorted to output and transmit a pilot-tone signal to recover the shorted speaker line; a voltage detector connected to the relay switch to detect a voltage of the speaker line in real time; a current detector connected to the relay switch to detect a current of the speaker line in real time; a signal processor to receive a voltage value and a current value of the voltage detector and the current detector and to process the voltage value and the current value in real time; and a central processing unit to receive a processing signal, which is processed, from the signal processor to control the relay switch in real time.
