The present invention relates to an autonomous driving apparatus having functions of receiving opening and closing approval for an entrance door or an elevator door in a moving path of an autonomous driving cart for moving articles to be delivered, and selecting an arrival floor when an opening and closing approval for the elevator door is received, to an entry approval system of the same, and to a method thereof. According to embodiments of the present invention, the autonomous driving cart having an entry approval function comprises: a battery; an autonomous driving unit autonomously driving the autonomous driving cart according to a driving mode by using power supplied from the battery; a sensor unit including a position sensor unit which recognizes a current position based on information obtained through a GPS, a local position recognizing device, and camera images capturing a driving situation, and a situation recognition sensor unit which recognizes, during autonomous driving, environment factors and surrounding information and determines whether an obstacle exists; a control unit generating first authentication information by combining first delivery information transmitted from a starting place terminal with a unique ID of the autonomous driving cart and controlling the autonomous driving unit by reflecting the information recognized by the sensor unit during autonomous driving; and an entry approval request unit transmitting, when the autonomous driving cart autonomously drives and approaches an entrance door (elevator), the first authentication information to the entrance door (elevator) through wireless communication to request an entry approval.
