Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplinks are provided. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication includes receiving an allocation of frequency bandwidth for uplink transmission of a station. The method further includes determining that a portion of the allocated frequency bandwidth is not available for uplink transmission. The method further includes selectively transmitting an uplink transmission based on whether some of the allocated frequency bandwidth is unavailable.
