The device for deducting a charging port position comprises: a database mapping and storing vehicle model information to a vehicle number of a user, and mapping and storing distance relationship information between a reference point on a license plate for each vehicle model and a charging port to the vehicle model information; a license plate information obtaining unit sensing a first license plate of a stopped vehicle and obtaining the vehicle number displayed on the first license plate and position information with regard to the reference point on the first license plate by sensing the first license plate of the stopped vehicle; and a calculation unit searching for the vehicle model information of the vehicle in the database based on the sensed vehicle number, deducting a charging port location of the stopped vehicle by substituting and calculating the position information to the distance relationship information mapped to the searched vehicle model information and moving a vehicle charger to the charging port position.
