The present invention relates to an original authentication system using physical feature information of a product including a numeric surface fingerprint and a blockchain and a method thereof, which can manage authentication information which has united physical feature information including unique information of a product and a surface feature of the product before packaging the same as the unique feature of the product based on a distributed ledger of a blockchain, thereby discerning to provide trust as to whether the product is original through various methods. Therefore, original authentication information is stored in the blockchain, which has united recognition information (a serial number or unique information commensurate thereto) of a target product to generate authentication information and physical feature information including an image-based surface fingerprint with respect to the target product before packaging the same as the unique feature of the product. Next, the recognition information of the product to be authenticated and the physical feature information including a numeric surface fingerprint extracted from the image information of the product to be authenticated are compared to the original authentication information stored in the blockchain to authenticate the original. Therefore, original authentication with respect to a precise target can be provided in a reliable manner.
