New Ursolic acid cocrystal or complex with improved water solubility

The present inventors overcome extremely poorly soluble (water solubility: 0.12 µg/L) and oral absorption of less than 1%, which makes it difficult to develop ursolic acid, a natural active substance having excellent utilization value as a drug, as a drug. It provides a novel ursolic acid/citric acid co-crystal or a complex agent with an optimum ratio in which water solubility and gastrointestinal pH solubility are increased 10000 times, and dissolution rate is increased. This novel ursolic acid/citric acid co-crystal or complex agent is very useful as an optimal raw material pharmaceutical that can maximize utilization as a drug of ursolic acid.
