Technical result is achieved by a method of quantum key distribution, which increases the length of the communication line with secret distribution of keys compared to existing protocols by selecting uniformly distributed relative to the angle of relative phases of information quasi-one-photon coherent states, in which the key bits are encoded, and their number, which is selected depending on the communication line length, on which it is required to provide key transmission security. Switching to a new communication line length is carried out by increasing the number of bases and, correspondingly, the number of information states.;EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of possibility to obtain private key of preset length at established length of communication line and unchanged system of QKD.;1 cl, 4 dwg
