FIELD: mining.;SUBSTANCE: method for development of a thick gently sloping formation with release of coal of the underburden thickness includes mechanized performance of dead-end development near the bed soil to the boundary of the extraction field at movement of mechanization means by direct movement, maintaining working bottom-hole space with sections of mechanized support, softening coal massif of underburden thickness, releasing its part into dead-end mine working and loading into vehicle at reverse-stroke mechanization. Prior to beginning of coal roofing coal production, receiving-loading zone is created by transformation of bottomhole section of mechanized support. Volume of receiving-loading zone is accepted subject to thickness of underburden. Flow of the released coal of the roofing layer is directed into the receiving-loading zone by inclination of overlapping of the face-to-face row of the support sections. Hardening of the coal massif of the underburden thickness is carried out as the receiving-loading zone advances. At output of large-size pieces of coal their crushing is performed by means of cutting device of means of mechanization of mine working.;EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of development of powerful flat coal bed.;1 cl, 12 dwg
