Specific traction fuel consumption determining method in the car breakaway mode at maximum thrust, in which the machine and the traction device with the dynamograph or the dynamometer are prepared for testing. Car is attached to the traction device and measuring the traction maximum force in the car breakaway mode. During preparation for the test, a fuel flow meter is installed on the engine, and during the maximum thrust force measuring, additionally measuring the hourly fuel consumption maximum value using the specified instrument. After testing, calculating the specific traction fuel consumption during the car starting from the rest under load using the formula.
