FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: method comprises the following steps: installing a bevel gear in a workpiece spindle of the machine tool, bringing said bevel gear in rotation around an axis of rotation of the billet spindle, setting a first machining tool in a tool spindle of the machine tool, mechanical processing of bevel gear wheel by means of the first machining tool, installation of grinding tool (10) as the second machining tool in tool spindle or in additional tool spindle of machine tool, bringing said grinding tool (10) into rotation about the axis of rotation of said tool spindle, wherein grinding tool (10) comprises concave machining section (11), having annular shape and coaxially located relative to tool rotation axis (A2), movement of grinding tool (10) relative to conical gear wheel to bring concave machining area (11) of grinding tool (10) into functional interaction with rib in area of tooth head for removal of chips, and this rib defines transition between side surface (5) of tooth (3) and tooth head and wherein said rib extends along tooth width line (3) to form chamfer (6.1) on said rib by grinding mechanical processing.;EFFECT: higher precision of bevel gears head processing.;14 cl, 11 dwg
