FIELD: power engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat power engineering and can be used at thermal power plants (TPP) equipped with condensing and cogeneration steam-turbine plants to ensure normalization of thermal expansion of cylinder of steam turbine. Method for normalization of thermal expansion of cylinder of steam turbine consists in the fact that in order to reduce friction force between movable and fixed contacting support elements in launch modes, operation and stop of turbine by means of overhead crane is controlled to reduce cylinder load to its fixed support elements to preset level. Device for normalizing thermal expansion of a steam turbine cylinder comprises a transverse cross beam fixed on the bridge crane and two rope suspensions secured at the traverse at a distance from each other, corresponding to the distance between the fixed on the cylinder feet in the zone of contact with the movable and fixed support elements by two eye-bolts. Said rope suspensions are equipped with force-measuring devices designed to provide controlled reduction of cylinder load on its fixed support elements and engage with lugs of said eye-bolts.;EFFECT: higher reliability of turbine.;2 cl, 2 dwg
