FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: tubular shaft of gas turbine engine has a recess on the inner surface of the shaft. Recess contains at least one recess made on the shaft surface centred along the shaft rotation axis. Another invention relates to a gas turbine engine comprising the above shaft. Upon detection of presence of oil inside specified above tubular shaft of gas-turbine engine at level of recess in inner surface of shaft there measured are values of imbalance of shaft synchronous with mode of shaft rotation. Then the signal is sent when the difference between the unbalance value and the unbalance value of only the shaft itself exceeds the preset threshold corresponding to the possible presence of oil trapped in at least one recess and creating an imbalance synchronous with the shaft mode.;EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to detect oil accumulation in shaft recesses by detection of imbalance created by oil.;15 cl, 13 dwg
