FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for anaerobic treatment of water wastes. Method of in situ purification of gas-liquid separator of anaerobic bioreactor includes direction of gas flow in bioreactor for creation of washing effect caused by turbulent flows of fluid medium and leading to cleaning of at least part of gas-liquid separator. Gas-liquid separator comprises a gas collector connected in fluid communication with a closed gas pipe, wherein said gas pipe is also connected in fluid communication with an open chamber of the reactor housing. Cleaning method includes a stage of closing the gas pipe thus ensuring release of gas from under the gas collector, thus providing the washing effect caused by the turbulent flow of the fluid medium and leading to cleaning of at least part of the gas-liquid separator. Method of treating flow of aqueous wastes containing a biodegradable organic substance includes feeding a stream of aqueous wastes into an anaerobic bioreactor, providing a chemical reaction of the biodegradable organic substance with the biomass in the bioreactor, essentially under anaerobic conditions, thereby forming biogas, said method comprising performing the in situ purification method. Bioreactor comprises a reactor housing to accommodate at least a fluid medium, an inlet opening for the inlet flow, an outlet opening for the outlet flow for discharge of the water effluent from the reactor housing, an outlet hole for gas, a gas-liquid separator located in the reactor vessel.
