FIELD: decorative art.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the art of graphics and can be used to reproduce author drawings on a metallographic board by the intaglio print method. Method of reproducing author drawings on an metallographic plate by the method of a intaglio print includes making on a surface of a board having an electrode potential more negative than electrode potential of copper, author's pattern, depositing a protective layer of copper or its alloy on the surface of the board, removing the pattern, recessing the metal pattern deposited in place by etching in the solution, which enables to dissolve the base metal, mainly due to the contact exchange reaction with copper ions, removal of protective layer, printing of impressions, besides, after deposition of protective layer part of pattern is removed, and etching is interrupted at least once and in drawing pattern is removed partially or completely, then etching is continued.;EFFECT: technical result of invention is simplification of method and expansion of technological capabilities of obtaining multi-level in-depth relief.;3 cl, 1 ex
