FIELD: electrical engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to conversion equipment, and can be used for load balancing of traction motors in the mode of recuperative braking on electric rolling stock (electric locomotives and electric trains), which is supplied from contact network of single-phase alternating current. Control of switching on and off transistor of shunting key is performed by means of supply to its gate accordingly of unlocking or locking signal of control on the side of control system drivers. Proposed method of traction motors load balancing in regenerative braking mode is implemented in device containing traction transformer, rectifier-inverter converters, rectifier excitation unit, traction motors, smoothing reactor, units of ballast resistors, current sensors, shunting keys, drivers with galvanic isolation, control system. In case of difference between values of armature windings currents of traction motors, it is read by control system by means of current sensors, which generates control signals for transistor of shunting key and by means of control drivers switches on and off shunting key at certain moments in time. Shunt key switch allows the current to flow partially through the opened key, and not through the ballast resistor, thus providing change in the active resistance of the ballast resistor and, accordingly, load balancing of the traction motors.;EFFECT: technical result is uniform loading is ensured by that shunt keys are added to power circuit of electric locomotive on the basis of controlled semiconductor devices - transistors, which shunt a part of ballast resistors, thus allowing their active resistance changing at the required moments in time.;1 cl, 1 dwg
