METHOD FOR TREATING A WOUND AND ULCER PROCESS IN THE AREA OF FINGERS OF LARGE AND SMALL HORNED LIVESTOCK

FIELD: veterinary science.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, particularly to veterinary orthopedics, and can be used in treating wound and ulcer process in the area of fingers of cattle and small cattle. Method of treatment involves fixation of animals, mechanical cleaning and surgical treatment of lesion, removal of stripped horn, necrotic tissues and pus, stopping bleeding, drying surface of defect, applying a medicinal agent, applying a protective cotton-gauze bandage with subsequent impregnation with birch tar, changing dressing 3–5 days until complete healing of the defect. Medicinal agent used is a powdered preparation containing copper sulphate – 50 g, boric acid – 40 g, succinic acid – 10 g.;EFFECT: invention provides reduced wound healing time, reduces number of treatments and duration of therapeutic course.;1 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex
