FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to free-piston internal combustion engines with high-reliability linear three-phase generator. Free-piston internal combustion engine with linear electric three-phase generator contains independently operating modules 2, 3, 4. Each module comprises two opposed cylinders 7 and 8 accommodating pistons 9 and 10 connected to permanent magnet 12. In the disclosed solution modules are fixed on the housing at angle of 120°. Between the modules there is shaft 6, on which there is a continuous inclined groove 18 for movement of spherical bodies 17. On flywheel ends flywheels 19 with projections 20 are fixed to close ignition contacts 21. At that, pistons 9 and 10 of modules 2, 3, 4 are connected by rigid rod 15 with holder of spherical body 16.;EFFECT: higher reliability and efficiency of free-piston internal combustion engine.;1 cl, 5 dwg
