FIELD: numerical simulation and analysis.;SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to finite element simulation and analysis to predict crack development in multiple planes of a structure comprising multiple layers. Disclosed is a finite-element model, in which structural layers are presented by grid cells of elements having interfaces, set between adjacent elements in orthogonal planes of potential crack. Overlapping interface elements are specified in interfaces and contain multiple nodes pairs, located at a distance from each other along multiple interfaces and having cluster of nodes located between them, which contains pairs of connected nodes. Units from each pair of nodes coincide with corresponding nodes of adjacent elements on opposite sides of interface. Finite-element model is analyzed under external load, according to which fracture vertex is installed in node cluster. Between knots of pairs of connected knots of node cluster there calculated is rate of deformation energy release, and based on its value development of crack is detected.;EFFECT: technical result is prediction of occurrence and development of cracks in two or three planes of structure.;21 cl, 12 dwg
