FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modified cellulose fibre and a method for production thereof, as well as to a nonwoven product and paper containing said fibre. Fibre contains anionic parts in amount of more than 0.25 mol/kg of dry fibre and contains polymer modifying agent applied thereon in amount of 0.5–5.0 wt. % of weight of dry fibre. Polymer modifying agent contains cationic parts with charge making at least 1.5 mcg-equivalent/g of polymer, and molar ratio of anionic parts and cationic parts contained in fibre ranges from 1:1 to 25:1. At that, anionic parts are introduced into fibre and consist of carboxymethyl cellulose, and polymer modifying agent containing cationic parts, is selected from a group consisting of polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride (polyDADMAC), polyacrylamide-co-diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PAM-DADMAC) and mixtures thereof.;EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the creation of said fibre, which provides for the possibility of reversible fibre bonding with fibre and/or re-dispersion of fibres in liquids or water-based liquid without significant reduction in strength of paper or non-woven products.;17 cl, 1 dwg, 11 tbl, 5 ex
